In April 1944 the Group led the ETO in German aircraft shot down, shot down in 1 month and one day. Many of its pilots became very famous: CO Don Blakeslee, Gentile, Godfrey, Beeson, Goodsen and the Greek (Pisnanos).
The book has a detailed text, is 180 pages and 298 black and white photos including all officer and pilot personnel. The binding is reasonably intact, with title and author embossed in fine gold lettering. The following are defects: all corners are bumped; the front hinge is functional but has a 2 1/2 partial thickness tear, and there are two old scotch tape tears of the index page, one horizontal.
