Vintage Timex- 1965 Marlin-RARE no-seconds version-Great Britain-serviced

Today we have a Timex 1964 Marlin, champagne dial, with no running seconds hand. It's not a "missing" seconds hand- the movement has no seconds. This came from the factory as a hours & minutes only dress watch. It's from the era of the best Timexes - "Made in Great Britain".

She's a rare beast, this one.... 41.5 mm lug to lug. 11/16 in (17-18mm) lug width. The movement has been serviced in accordance with the Timex guide, and is in great shape.

It's within a minute or so a day fast. Great for this 55 year old movement. The case of this watch is clean and silvery.

No plating loss, no dings or big scratches. Sure there's a few girlies from 55 years, but nothing you can see without a microscope.

I polished up the crystal and now the dial and hands show up wonderfully. The sunburst dial is gorgeous, and unique among Marlins.

I put it on a vintage silver BMC bracelet. I have only seen a few factory dials without seconds hands. An none are in this nice quality with the awesome Marlin champagne dial. Take this one home and watch is glisten on your wrist. The gold dial rolling the reflection thru the sunburst, and the bracelet reflecting silver all over. This is a classic watch from 1965 that still looks GREAT and CLASSY today!
