This is not to be confused with the more common 08 pattern side-pack used by the infantry, the Mounted Troops Haversack differs due to he positioning of the cross strap attachments and rounder profile of the lower edges of the Haversack. This example dates from 1916 and still retains its iconic WW1 light green blanco covering to both the Haversack and strap confirming that they have been together for ever.

A beautiful untouched and Very Rare, piece of WW1 Army equipment - worn by the ASC, Royal Field Artillery and other Mounted units.
