RARE censor cover Lemnos Castle Greece 1918 WW1 stamps on back to Australia
1917 usage of 1912 Greek military stamps 2 x 25 lepta blue on cover sent registered from Lemnos Island to Doctor Constantine Kyriazopoulos North Melbourne Victoria Australia with Lemnos Castle postmark, via Pireaus, Alexandria, Fremantle Western Australia, registered Melbourne including British military registered censor of Lemnos with "K" middle instead of crown at front & back in violet, RARE. The Australian forces were at this location all during World War 1 & castle was used as a hospital, RARE. Apparently the censor not listed in any of the contemporary reference boo ks. Stamps have some minor toning around them & cover opened a bit rough at left otherwise in very good condition.
