Rare British Officers Nepal Gurkha fighting knife Chindits 14th Army 1944
A very fine example of an original WW2 British Officers gurkha fighting knife, used against the Japanese in Burma 1944-45. Handle decorated with fine carving, with inlay, aswell as checkered brass pommel. Knife has a good heavy large twin fullered blade. Original leather scabbard, where the Officer has decorated it with the 14th Army badge and words''Burma 1944-45''. The 14th Army had an interesting history in Burma, fighting the Japanese towards the ends of the Second world war and were involved in mnay battles. A scarce addition to any serious Gurkha knife collection. Overall length 19.5 inches. Any questions please feel free to ask.
