Extremely lush & rich red patina seen on legs. Everything about this piece is perfect for what it is.
The very last photo shows an example of the precision way the wood was cut to dowel all the legs together. The level of woodworking workmanship is absolutely exquisite! All sides shown in photos.
The Glass is a deep red-ruby pigeon-blood type of amberina, which gets its luscious depth & breadth of color, from the fact that this bowl was kiln-fired with real gold having 1st been thrown into the kiln. When held up to the sun, 1 can actually see the gold in the glass.
The glass is also of further interest because it is awash in sparkling iridescence, & the patina is of a wrinkle like finish. Very interesting piece of art glass. The bowl has no chips or cracks. The bowl bears straw marks from cooling after firing & some minor occlusions (air) in the glass. The shows only very mild signs of wear.
