1856 An envelope bearing an 1854 2d blue SC Perf 16 issue, together with an 1848 10d brown embossed issue, paying the 1/- rate to the State of New York, U. Both being neatly tied by the 233 Darlington sideways duplex dated for JU 12 1856 and a New York arrival mark in red ink.
