1840 an entire wrapper addressed to Durham bearing a horizontal pair of the 1d black issue from plate 10 lettered A. Both being tied by the Newcastle upon Tyne Maltese cross in red ink and dated on reverse for FE 8 1841. The red Maltese cross being used to cancel 1d black issues from plate 10 is rare.
