RARE 1840 2d Mulready wrapper from Lochalsh to Glasgow with red MC

  
On reverse of the wrapper is the straight-line handstamp of "Lochalsh" struck in orange-brown ink, with the front being cancelled by a Maltese cross from the same ink pad. A very rare and most attractive example of this wrapper, very few of which were used in the Highlands.
