1840 2d blue shade from plate 1 lettered I. With clear to very good margins on an entire wrapper addressed to Kendal, being tied by a superb strike of the distinctive Ambleside Maltese cross with very thin internal cross, in black ink. The wrapper is dated on reverse for JY 9 1842.
