ORIGINAL 1824'PLANS, ELEVATIONS, SECTIONS &c TO DUPIN'S COMMERCIAL POWER OF GREAT BRITAIN' with PLATES ENGRAVED BY Jno CLEGHORN & Tho HINGHAM. This is a wonderful original. This is one of those pieces that I might never sell. It is one of those pieces that is so rare, that most people dont even know it exists.

Dupin's Commercial Power of Great Britain is one of the most important books in the history of the world and you can see it in HathiTrust as well as Google Books and many other important institutions. Original copies are quite scarce and hard to come by. I have not found any on the market anywhere. This piece is the original supplement to the book published at the same time in 1824.

This is the book filled with the 10 engravings of the imagery that goes along with the book. Worldcat only shows one real example all the others have the scanned version that University of Michigan created. Original soft wraps cover is in good condition though separated from the rest of the book.

String binding holds the rest of it still together. All 10 original engravings are present and mostly in good condition. As you can see there is an old water stain across the pages but nothing that is too bad and if desired, it could be easily cleaned and restored to be a nearly perfect example. Other minor edge tears but nothing too bad. Book is ex Libris from the New England Historic Genealogical Society and has the original book plate inside the cover.

Do your own research on this piece. See if you can find another example of it. Probably should go into a museum.
