It is hard enough to find plate 11`s these days let alone a PL11 tied to a cover this is a genuinely rare item. SG3 1d Penny Grey-Black Tied to Cover. Plate letter positions are as follows. A= LOW CENTRAL (A slopes to right) C= SLIGHTLY LOW TO RIGHT. On initial study it could be said the right hand plate letter could be C or G but comparing between the position of the Letter AC and AG. The position (Low Center) of the A does not Appear on any of the AG plates. It can only be A-C. With that in mind PL 11 is the only Plate of A-C where the A slopes to right.

It can only be PL11. On the guide line to penny black by P. The plating of the penny black by Charles Nissen. And the Charles Nissen plate gallery. Good used example with no faults noted.
