C. 1930's Marx Streamline Speedway Rare Great Britain Version- Excellent Cond

  
Offered for sale is a very nice example of a "Streamline Speedway" racing set, with its original box, manufactured by Louis Marx & Co. In the early 1930's. There were several versions made of this toy, but this one made in Great Britain is harder to find, especially in this condition. The box measures 13" long x 8" wide by 4 high and holds a complete set of tracks for a figure eight speedway, and two windup cars with their own little boxes. The set is in excellent condition: t here are no breaks, cracks, repairs, or other damage to the tracks or cars, the wind-up mechanisms for both cars work (the blue car is more sluggish, though), and all pieces retain 99% of their original lithographed finish. The larger box has some. Play wear (mostly along edges) and. Foxing, but no rips, punctures, repairs, or other damage, and the printed frontage piece is intact and still retains great color and definition. Both small boxes are in great shape except both are rough at one end. From the frequent removal and replacement of the race cars. (there is a lot of wear, two flaps are missing, and one flap has separated).
