1840 SG5 2d BLUE PLATE 1 RARE STRIP OF 4 SCOTTISH MALTESE CROSSES VARIETY HE/HH. Possibly in the "steel blue" shade, each stamp is neatly cancelled by an Edinburgh Maltese cross. Note each strike has a gap in the outer ring on the left side - unusual.
Each stamp clearly has a fault, either marginal or a bend through at the bottom, running down the right side of HF - probably from filing fold. Despite faults a rare item, and priced accordingly but open to sensible offers. We do our very best to describe any faults that cannot be seen in the image of the item/items as accurately as possible.
