THIS IS THE VERY RARE ONE PENNY BLACK (PLATE 10) UNUSED STAMP FROM 1840. Clarity and colour are exceptional. There are three margins and one that just cuts at the top left hand corner. It has NEVER been hinged and has a very good centrally located small crown watermark. I believe the rear may have been re-gummed.

I cannot speculate but if it has, it has been expertly done. There are NO HIDDEN FAULTS - PLEASE SEE SCANS.
