This was a long process with belt sander and oil to keep it cooled. The blade as bought from windlass comes flat like an iron bar. Scuffs remain on the blade throughout.

Rust here and there from being carried. Been used to cut tatami for demos. The polymer sheath holds firm upside down. The leather one does not.

Hanging loop on the leather one was added after the original broke. The guard folds sideways when in the scabbard for comfort - it pops right out when you draw the blade.
